DCT can help extend the life of all your mobile computing equipment with a wide variety of
maintenance and support options.
Maintenance Contract / Agreements
A Maintenance Agreement provides repair service for periods of one, two, or three years and
covers all parts and labor used to repair the units covered by the contract. Our standard
agreement covers service that is necessary as a result of normal wear and tear, but we also
offer "bumper to bumper" contracts that provide coverage for almost any damage.
Maintenance Agreement premiums are due annually in advance. All equipment must be in
good working condition prior to being placed on a Maintenance Agreement. Shipping costs to
the repair facility are the customers' responsibility. DCT will pay to ship the equipment back to
the customer via UPS-Ground or equivalent method. Any other shipping method will be the
responsibility of the customer. Normal turnaround time is 1 to 2 days excluding transit time.
All units covered under our maintenance agreement come with free follow up telephone
support. Portable Data Terminals under contract will have application software reloaded at no
additional charge.
Flat Rate Repair
Units are repaired for published Flat Rate prices (on rare occasions a device will be too
severely damaged to qualify for Flat Rate repair; in that instance, a time and materials repair
quote will be generated and submitted for customer approval). A rapid, yet comprehensive
evaluation of each unit occurs on the day of receipt by specially trained Senior Technicians or
Repair Team Leaders in order to confirm eligibility for Flat Rate repair. A purchase order
number may be provided online at the time you request a repair authorization to ensure the
fastest repair service. Alternatively, we will notify you automatically by 2:00PM on the day we
receive your equipment using DCT's management portal system,
that an online estimate is ready for approval. Turnaround times are usually 2 to 3 days from
the repair approval date.
Time & Materials Repair (T&M)
Specially trained senior technicians evaluate your units on the day of receipt at our Service
Center and we notify you automatically (on the same day) via our management portal system that an online estimate is available for approval. Normal
turnaround time is 2 to 4 days from approval date.
Onsite Printer Repair
New in 2010, DCT has expanded our service offerings to include most onsite printer and
printing system maintenance requirements for enterprise-level customers in the U.S.
Maintenance contracts and per-incident repair services are available for virtually all business class
printers utilizing dot matrix, line matrix, thermal/thermal transfer, and laser technologies
from all major manufacturers including Hewlett-Packard, Texas Instruments, Printronix,
TallyGenicom, Lexmark, IBM, Brother, Dataproducts, Zebra, Datamax, Sato, and many
others. Our management portal makes accessing, managing,
and tracking onsite service calls for printer assets easy and is a big benefit for distributed
enterprise customers.
Spare Pool Program
A pool of spare units (provided either by you or us) is maintained by DCT in conjunction with
a Maintenance Agreement. We dispatch replacement units upon request directly to the end
customer location. Spare pool size and program cost depend on the number of units under
maintenance, number of locations, model of unit, user environment, and other factors. For
more information please call us to discuss your specific requirements.
