Deploying mobile solutions can create a variety of headaches for your IT staff. Additional
servers, applications, bandwidth requirements and changes to security policies can derail an
otherwise successful project. DCT through partnerships with enterprise class co-location
facilities can provide a cost effective manageable solution to these challenges.
Co–location facilities provide you with secure space in a cabinet to house your equipment,
UPS-protected power, backup diesel generated power, redundant air conditioning equipment,
automated fire suppression systems and your choice of Internet connectivity options. These
facilities can host your company-owned equipment or provide complete infrastructure on an
as needed basis.
Our co-location partners provide:
- Racks and servers
Equipment space is offered in half cabinet, full cabinet, or per "U" configurations.
All customer equipment is installed in a fully enclosed and secured cabinet with locking
mechanisms designed to meet your specific needs.
- Bandwidth
Our Co-Location service is in a carrier neutral facility (CNF). You have the flexibility to
provide your own bandwidth from the carrier of your choice or purchase bandwidth from
DCT. It's your choice.
The IOC features multiple, high-capacity, redundant Internet connections for a reliable
system with high availability. Our multi-layered approach to networking infrastructure
minimizes single points of failure.
- Tech support
We offer Level 1 technical support to each Co-Location client at no charge, 24 hours a
day, 7 days a week.
Level 1 support includes the following:
- Basic Troubleshooting
- Remote Hands
For clients who require additional technical support and/or special services we have
Level - 2 and -3 programs available, giving you additional support resources to meet your
needs.
- Service level guarantees (SLA)
Because of our highly redundant infrastructure and commitment to service, we are able to
offer a comprehensive set of service level commitments with corresponding failure
resolution remedies.
- Security
Biometric laser hand scanners limit access to the Command Rooms and the Computer
Rooms to authorized personnel. All entry and exit activities are logged on redundant
systems. All client equipment is secured in locked enclosures. All access is escorted and
recorded by digital video.
- Emergency Precautions
In the case of a loss of power, Kohler diesel generators located outside both buildings in
secured enclosures can supply back-up power to the IOCs for days without refueling. In
case of a fire, specially designed, automated FM-200 fire-suppression systems prevents
excessive damage to IOCs equipment. The FM-200 agent saturates the room, coating
oxygen molecules in the air to prevent/extinguish a fire.
- Network Infrastructure
The IOCs feature multiple, high-capacity, redundant Internet connections for reliable
systems with high availability. Our systems architecture is highly redundant, which
minimizes single points of failure.
- Environmental Control
Redundant dedicated Liebert Air-Handling Units regulate temperature, humidity and
airflow in the Computer Rooms, keeping the environments at an optimum level for the
computer systems.
- Monitoring
Both facilities infrastructure components and services such as power, temperature and
humidity are monitored 24x7. All network infrastructure components and services such as
routing, switching and bandwidth are monitored 24x7 with certified network engineers
available to respond to problems anytime day or night.
